Article 1.- Amendment of articles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Law 29698, Law that declares the treatment of people suffering from rare or orphan diseases to be of national interest and preferential attention
Articles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Law 29698, the Law that declares the treatment of people suffering from rare or orphan diseases to be of national interest and preferential attention, are amended as follows:
Article 3. National Plan for the Prevention, Diagnosis, Comprehensive Care, Treatment, Rehabilitation and Monitoring of Rare or Orphan Diseases
The Ministry of Health develops the National Plan for Prevention, Diagnosis, Comprehensive Care, Treatment, Rehabilitation, Research and Monitoring of Rare or Orphan Diseases and presents annually to the Permanent Interministerial Coordination Commissions (the CIAS) and to the Health and Population Commission of the Congress of the Republic the progress and goals achieved in the execution of said national plan. The National Plan promotes the incorporation, in university programs and in regular basic education training programs, of content that promotes greater knowledge and understanding of rare or orphan diseases.
